Where plants, hands, & hearts come together.

Marking Goods is the mixing of plants, the work of hands, and the tender hearted musings of founder Jordan Cañas.

After making a big move from Seattle to Austin one month after her second child was born, Jordan went through deep postpartum depression and anxiety. In a season of brokenness, Jordan experienced two forms of healing: gardening and community gatherings.

Gardening not only acquainted her with the power of herbal medicine, but also ushered her through an embodied process of hoping for life, accepting death, and (sometimes) reaping fruits.

Living among community where they gathered, celebrated, mourned and simply communed together regularly, allowed her the opportunity to creatively mark life’s moments. Everything from new food or new jobs, to marriages or losing a loved one.

From these things, and moving from surviving through to a place where life could be nurtured again, it sparked the question:

“Where do we need to make space for our bodies and hearts to mark the spectrum of life’s moments?”

The products of Marking Goods are attempting to answer that question. Marking Goods believes in creating experiences for your body and heart to be present to what is right before you.

With every Marking Goods offering, there will be items that center around different life themes. The boxes contain handmade plant-based creations to accompany the body, as well as a small intentional ritual card to help you mark that life moment.

Marking Goods products are:

  • All recyclable: Please re-use and recycle all that you can. Product containers were sourced with specific intention to either be recycled, reused or composted.

  • Supportive of other creatives: Each box contains a product created by another amazing human. Go support them too!

  • Hand made: With love, intention, and most likely some imperfection, the boxes contain hand made and curated items.

From my hands and heart, to yours.
